What is the negative tú command of Conducir?

By Sarah Oconnell

To make a negative statement, use No + pensar/creer/imaginar (‘to think/to imagine’) + que.

Is Conducir regular or irregular?

Conducir is an -ir verb in Spanish, but it is irregular. When you conjugate it in the preterite tense, you take off the -cir before conjugating.

Does Conducir have an accent?

It has nothing to do with carne (without accent on the e) which comes from Latin and means “flesh” or “meat”. Note that the two words are pronounced differently: carné is pronounced with stress on the second syllable, while carne has the stress on the first syllable.

Do irregular verbs have accents?

The preterite is the tense with the most irregularities. One group of irregular verbs has accented endings in the first and third-person singular forms. The verbs leer (to read), and caer (to fall) each have an accent on the ending in the first and third-person singular forms.
