What comes first length or width for pants?

The first number in a pant size is the waist size. It tells you the natural waist measurement — in inches — that the pants are designed for. The second number in a pant size is the length.

What does pant size 32×32 mean?

Is 34×32 A large?

Probably a large. I’d say a 32 inch waist or so would be the max for the mediums, unless you want ultra compression.

Is pant length same as inseam?

Is the inseam size the same as the length size? No. Inseam is the measurement taken from the pubic bone to the ankle, while length size is from the waist to the ankle.

W stands for waist width (Waist = W ) and L stands for leg length (L = Length). Each pants size that is labeled in inches includes these two figures. For example, if you have a jeans size 34/32, the number 34 means that you have a waist width of 34 inches. The number 32 then corresponds to a leg length of 32 inches.

Does width or length come first?

The Graphics’ industry standard is width by height (width x height). Meaning that when you write your measurements, you write them from your point of view, beginning with the width.

How do you measure length of pants?

Are pants length inseam or Outseam?

The inseam refers to the vertical line that travels down the interior of the pant. The inseam goes up to the crotch, on the inside of the leg. The pants outseam, however, goes all the way up to the waist. The inseam is generally used to measure leg length and is often the “L” included in a pants W and L size.

30×30 means 30″ waist, 30″ inseam length. From the join at your crotch to the hem at your ankle.
