You can use the oven to do any cooking you’d normally do in your conventional oven. You can also steam, toast with 5 settings, reheat, cook from the app’s library of recipes, and Scan-to-Cook hundreds of brand name grocery products—like Eggo® Waffles and Pop-Tarts®!

Aluminum Meal Trays: We recommend cleaning out and keeping the trays your meals come in to reuse for heating up food in your Tovala. Otherwise, recycle them curbside.

How do you reset Tovala?

Turn off and then back on your hotspot. Unplug then replug your oven and go through the setup process. This resets things and can sometimes help your oven find your hotspot.

How do you preheat Tovala?

Set your desired Bake mode Temperature and press Start. The message “Preheat Estimate” will appear in the Time display and begin an estimated countdown to when the Temperature you’ve set will be reached. Your oven will send a notification and beep accordingly when the desired Temperature has been reached.

Can I cook two Tovala meals at once?

You can cook two to four servings at once, as long as they’re the exact same meal. Two Miso-Glazed Salmon meals can cook together, but a Miso-Glazed Salmon and a Spaghetti & Meatballs can’t.

How do you bake in Tovala?

This cooking mode uses convection baking, meaning the convection fan and top and bottom heat coils evenly circulate heat for baking.

The Tovala Smart Oven is only compatible with a 2.4 GHz WiFi network (you probably have it—it’s part of most WiFi provider’s standard WiFi packages). Once it’s set up, you can use the controls on the front of the oven for basic functionality without WiFi.
