What is a torque window?
It is a torque or “awning” window that can stand alone or be used to complement other window styles in your vehicle. Torque operators are located at the bottom center of the window.
Can window cranks be replaced?
Replacing the crank mechanism is simple. But finding a new crank may take some time. You can mail your old crank to some replacement hardware specialists and you’ll get back a match (Photo 1). The cranks can be expensive, but they may be a bargain if the overall condition of the window is still good.

Can you open RV windows?
There is a seal between the interior frame of the window and the window. If the rubber strip is not stuck because of the reasons we mentioned above, then it will not be difficult to open the RV window from outside using just a screwdriver. It may not open immediately, but it will open if you persist.

While RV break ins do happen they’re relatively uncommon and by taking some basic precautions you can drastically reduce the chance of ever having to deal with an RV break in.
How do you remove a window winder from a caravan?
1) Use a flat screwdriver to release top corner of fly screen. Carefully pull to remove complete screen. 2) After you have removed the fly screen, you will be able to access the Winder Control Box screws from the outside of the van. 3) Unscrew top and bottom screws from both Winder Control Boxes.
