What happens in bad weather? Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity. Our courses are substantially sheltered from rain and wind by the trees themselves so as long as you’re appropriately dressed for the weather you should still have great memories of your experience.

Is Go Ape scary?
What you’ve got to remember when you visit us is that, even though you’re in the tree tops, you’re extremely safe. You wear a harness and are clipped-on to safety lines, so if you were to lose your footing on one of the obstacles all you’d do is dangle there (which can be scary, but is not dangerous!).

Is Go Ape hard?
The Go Ape course at Wendover Woods is extreme in its entirety. The aptly-named ‘Extreme’ route includes some of our most-challenging crossings, some of which are enough to make the bravest of gorillas shake in their shoes. And before you even reach those crossings, you’ve got to take-on a scrambling net.
How long does Go Ape last?
There’s no set time for our Tree Top Adventure – you pick the pace (within reason). However, it tends to take teams around 2-3 hours to complete a course. That includes a safety demo from an experienced Go Ape team member and a practice session, where you get to learn the ropes (quite literally).
Can you wear a hat to Go Ape?
Since it’s officially hat season, bring along a scarf, hat, and gloves to enjoy your cosy style. You can always purchase Go Ape’s stylish gloves or hats on the day. Even on a warm day, we recommend wearing gloves, in fact, we often hear customers that haven’t worn gloves mention that they wish they had.
How strict are Go Ape on height?
However, under 6’s can do the course as long as they are at least 1 metre tall and are likely to enjoy it. One adult can supervise two children, but only one child is recommended if it is their first time.
Can I do Go Ape if I’m pregnant?
Due to the physical nature of the Activities, Go Ape recommends that pregnant women should not take part.

This adventure is more demanding than a regular zip line. At each of the 5 stations you need to climb up a rope ladder, which is demanding in itself. The other ‘more’ demanding feature is the spider web that you zip into and then need to crawl up and onto the tree stand.
