Can you put EternaBond over Dicor?

Dicor worked great in that instance. Both, belt and suspenders, no worries. I would put Dicor under the vent and then Eternabond it. Then just don’t drive under any low branches.

You don’t need to remove the old lap sealant. You’re only going to touch up the areas that have cracks. If you want to remove the old sealant, you can, but Dicor lap sealant is designed to be put on in layers. These areas need to dry completely before applying sealant, so move on to the next area to clean.

Does Dicor stick to silicone?

NOTHING sticks to silicone (not even additional silicone) so you’d need to remove all the old silicone in order for the next application to adhere. So, if the “silicone repair” is to a small area of DICOR which can later be completely removed, you’d probably be OK.

The eternabond has been on my trailer for about two years now and all the areas where I applied eternabond are holding up very well. No breaches or leaks. I have raised this rating from 4 to 5 stars because of how practical this stuff is.

How do you cut Eternabond tape?

Scissors work the best for cutting it, but don’t use a pair you care about. You can clean them up with a solvent, but it’s a pain to do. It’s not absolutely required, but it helps to have a little seam roller .

All types of rubber adhesive are thermoplastic, so exposure to high heat will soften the adhesive and impact its effectiveness.
