Does Metamucil go bad after expiration date?

Depending on the variant you purchased, Metamucil has a two- to three-year shelf life. The expiration date is stamped on the bottom of each canister or bottle. The expiration dates are expressed by month and year, which means that the product can be used through the month indicated.
