Can you over crew a vehicle?

Rules. 702.122a Crew is an activated ability of Vehicle cards. “Crew N” means “Tap any number of other untapped creatures you control with total power N or greater: This permanent becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.”

Can you over crew a vehicle?

Yes, you can Crew a Vehicle while it is a creature. Adding the Creature type does not remove the Crew ability, and there is no stipulation in the Crew ability that it can only be activated if the Vehicle is not a creature.

Can you crew a vehicle with shroud?

But nothing at all gives crewing creatures shroud (no existing Vehicle has this effect, at any rate, and it’s in no way a feature of the crew ability). Thank you.

Do you need haste to crew?

Vehicles can’t attack the turn they come under your control unless they have haste. However, creatures that just came under your control can be tapped to activate the crew ability. And there are even more Pilots in this set that have abilities that play especially well with Vehicles.

Can you partially crew a vehicle MTG?

No. Crewing a vehicle represents a cost to activate an ability. Just like all costs, you either pay all of it or none of it. Magic doesn’t allow partial costs to be paid.

Can you crew more than once?

You can activate a vehicle’s crew ability as many times as you are able to pay the cost though each additional time will usually have no real effect. In the cases you mentioned are the exception to usually having no effect, so yes you can do it.

Do artifacts have summoning sickness?

Although all permanents experience Summoning Sickness, only Creatures, Artifact Creatures, Land Creatures, planeswalker creatures and Enchantment Creatures (or Land, Artifacts, planeswalkers or Enchantments that have become creatures) are affected by Summoning Sickness.

Can you crew on opponent’s turn?

It’s almost like the opposite of Equip- you use your CREATURES to enhance your ARTIFACTS! As I said, this can be done any time you have priority, meaning you can Crew up a vehicle on your opponent’s turn if you need it to block; you can’t block with a creature and then tap it to Crew, so keep that in mind!

Is a crewed vehicle a creature?

Vehicle is an artifact type, not a creature type. A Vehicle that’s crewed won’t have any creature type. However, because it retains its artifact type, it will be an Artifact Creature – Vehicle.

Can one creature crew have two vehicles?

(multiple creatures can crew a single vehicle). Sweet, cheers. This is not entirely accurate. If you manage to untap the creature you used to pay a crew cost, you can then use it to pay the crew cost on another vehicle.

However, vehicles themselves are susceptible to summoning sickness — you can always crew a vehicle and use it to block, but you can’t attack with it the turn it comes into play unless it has haste.

So assume a given Vehicle becomes crewed, effectively making it a creature until end of turn. Now, you equip the Vehicle with some equipment cards, or enchant creature cards.

Artifact’ is a type, not a subtype. When an effect has you choose a subtype, like a creature subtype, you cannot choose artifact. This also applies to effects that depend on or apply to specific creature subtypes.

Is shrine a creature type?

Even though it appears on some creatures, Shrine is an enchantment type, not a creature type. It cannot be chosen for any effect that instructs you to choose a creature type.

Can artifact vehicles block?

Once a Vehicle becomes a creature, it behaves exactly like any other artifact creature. It can’t attack unless you’ve controlled it continuously since your turn began, it can block if it’s untapped, it can be tapped to pay a Vehicle’s crew cost, and so on.

Can you tap a creature with summoning sickness?

You are almost completely correct. A creature that has “summoning sickness” cannot attack or activate abilities that have or in their costs. A summoning sick creature can tap to activate its own ability that asks for something to be tapped.
