ARB Air Locker differentials can be engaged and disengaged at the flip of a switch. When you need the extra traction, simply turn on your compressor, approach the difficult terrain, take your foot off of the accelerator and press the Air Locker switch – even if you are still moving.

How do ARB air lockers work?

When the switch is pushed, a solenoid on the remote-mounted ARB air compressor opens up a port sending a high-pressure stream of air to the Air Locker, causing the clutch gear to engage the side gear. The air compressor will then run for a short amount of time to replenish the small tank of compressed air.

How much air does an ARB locker need?

What is the minimum and maximum air pressure required to operated an ARB Air Locker. The ARB Air Locker will engage at around 70 PSI. However, for faster engagement and disengagement, we recommend an air pressure supply between 100 and 150 PSI.
